Got my 3130HST with 723FEL last Friday. Fantastic. Last time felt like this was when got first bike for Christmas back in the '50s when getting a bike was a big deal for a poor kid.
Does even more than I expected.
Will share experiences later for any novices still wondering whether to take the plunge.
One quick question. I don't have a place to lock it up yet and am a little nervous, although my place is well out of site up a wooded hillside from the road.
What I wanted to do for the time being is park it between a couple of big trees (I have plenty) so no one could put it on a trailer or rollback without doing some serious chainsaw work first, but at first blush I haven't come up with a simple way to keep someone from starting and driving away.
The old "take the distributor cap with your" won't work on this baby. Is there something similar on the diesel?

Yes. You should have a fuel shut-off valve under the hood.. probably attached to the fuel strainer bowl.
Also, drop the FEL and anything on the three point hitch to the ground.

A nice big chain going through the loader several times and then wraped around a tree. Just get a big lock. That will stop it from going anywhere. ....

1. Make sure it is insured, take simple precautions against theft, and don't worry about it.
2. Turn off fuel as suggested above.
3. Remove battery cable, or take whole battery.
4. Lift front end slightly with FEL, remove front wheel, lower onto blocks. Take wheel with you.
Congrats on your new tool.

Locks are for honest people, they really don't slow down crooks much.
If you are tlaking about securing it in one place for a period of time, a shipping container is a really good weather-proof solution, pretty affordable too, you can even rent them in most places.
Merry Christmas.
Best of luck. ....
